Where does identity end, and where does the world begin?

Eva Genoveva is a Munich-based contemporary figurative painter. Since 2010, she has worked as a freelance artist, and her paintings are held in private collections in Germany and abroad.

Her work explores themes of alienation, identity, social isolation and fragmentation from a female perspective. Rather than telling explicit narratives, her paintings create psychologically charged spaces in which vulnerability, resilience and ambiguity coexist, inviting viewers to develop their own interpretations.

Materiality is an essential part of her artistic practice. She prepares her own painting panels and handcrafts many of her colours from carefully selected pigments, allowing the physical substance of the work to become an integral part of its expression.
